Norman Court Montessori Nursery

Our Montessori Day Nursery nestles amidst 45 acres of beautiful woodland & countryside on the Hampshire/Wilshire border. We cater for children aged 6 months to five years. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am – 6pm. Throughout the day we provide the children with fun, engaging activities to help them achieve their next steps and thrive with their learning.

We are seeking a nursery practitioner with a minimum of a level 3 qualification in childcare to join our team, working in the baby room. The role will be a full time position (40 hours – worked over 4 days). Within our setting you would be expected to:

  • Safeguard the children
  • Follow our policies and procedures we have in place, encouraging good practice.
  • Understand and complete our Observation, Planning and Assessment Cycle
  • Engage with the children on a daily basis, ensuring that teaching is present
  • Use both child led and adult led strategies to develop your key children’s learning.
  • Communicate with the parents and your team members.
  • Maintain high standards of work within observations, paperwork and maintaining this environment at all times
  • Respond to the children’s needs, providing them with opportunities to talk, rest, sleep and eat well balanced meals.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of babies and how they learn.

Pre School Practitioner

Norman Court Montessori Nursery

We are looking to appoint an experienced pre school practitioner to work in our nursery.

As a pre school practitioner you will work as part of the nursery team to ensure the children receive the highest standards of care and education through effective planning and implementation.

Essential qualities include: willingness to learn and develop, be creative with ideas, enjoy working as part of a team, be an effective communicator, be self-motivated, support your colleagues, committed to inspire and support children express their ideas and opinions through meaningful and challenging play.

Essential early years’ experience and qualifications include: Qualified to minimum Level 3 in an early years qualification with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an early years setting.

Essential knowledge includes: Excellent knowledge of child development, Safeguarding and The Early Years Foundation Stage.
