The NCFE has approved Survival School as a centre to run the Bushcraft, Survival and Wilderness Living Skills course, which has been accredited as Level 2. This course is an assessment weekend course run at Norman Court.
Having completed the first weekend, which is our Weekend Bushcraft and Survival Course, you should have learnt the skills you need to survive in the wilderness and pass the assessment weekend.

Free Taster Day
On the 22nd August we ran a free fire lighting taster course. Here is some of the feedback that we received from that course:
I would like to feedback, after attending Andy’s fire course last night at Norman Court, that it was brilliant. Andy was extremely knowledgeable and good fun. It was hands on and so rewarding to create a fire from a single spark from a flint.
The venue was excellent and I look forward to seeing it develop and making more use of it. – Emma
I have just got off the phone from Emma and we both spoke about how much we enjoyed the introduction to bushcraft last night. So, we both wanted to email and tell you!
For me it was wonderful to be in the woods at night and to hear the different sounds and see the trees in a completely different way to the way I see and experience them with the children during the day at Norman Court. Now I can walk past our fire making spot and say’ look children this is where Miss Holly made a fire!’
It was a really great experience for both Emma and I to learn new skills and to be encouraged to have a go in a fun and relaxed environment. We really appreciated your warm sense of humour and calm attitude with the group which helped us all just want to give everything a go! It was a fabulous way to spend a couple of hours in our local woods. – Holly
